WESTFIELD – Wayne R. Rines, 60, of Franklin Street passed away suddenly Tuesday, October, 9, 2012 in Westfield. He was born in Westfield, November 8, 1951, the son of the late Harold and Irene (Welch) Rines.
He was educated in the local schools and a graduate of the Westfield Vocational High School. Wayne had been employed as a Die Cutter for 20 years at the former Rexam Co. in Westfield and at University Products in Holyoke. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield. Wayne was an avid golfer, pool player and general sports enthusiast, always cheering on his Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins.
Wayne leaves his loving daughters, Christine M. Rines-Svallin and her husband Jonas Svallin of Tiburon, CA and Kelly L. King and her husband Jason King of Charleston, SC; his three cherished grandchildren, Karl, Anders, and Olivia, his former wife of 35 years Deborah (Briggs) Rines, the memory of his faithful dog Max; his siblings, Cassandra Serrano, Harold Rines Jr. and Richard Rines, and his many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. The Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main
Street, Westfield has been entrusted with all of the arrangements.
