SOUTHWICK – The 41st Annual Southwick/Granville CROP Hunger Walk announced the results of its June 2 Walk today.
Marie Daniels, treasurer of the Walk, said approximately 140 Walkers raised $11,110 to date.
“We fell short of our goal of $12,0oo,” she said. “If you are interested in helping us meet our goal, we are still accepting donations.”
Donations can be made online at www.cropwalkonline.org/southwickma or sent to Clayton Cigal, P.O. Box 511, Southwick, MA 01077. Pictures of the day’s event can be seen on the facebook page Southwick Granville Crop Hunger Walk.
CROP Hunger Walks raise money to end hunger locally and globally. The Southwick/Granville CROP Hunger Walk, in its 41st year, is the oldest in New England. Nationally, approximately 1,600 CROP Walks are held every year, raising $14 million annually to end hunger. We are so proud to present Our Community Food Pantry in Southwick with 25% of the money raised from this event. The balance will go to feed hungry people and help victims of disasters here in the U.S. and around the world.
