WESTFIELD – The Rotary Club of Westfield is pleased to host the second annual Westfield Food Fest, scheduled for Friday, August 26th through Sunday, August 28th, 2016. This exciting three-day family-friendly event will feature vendors from local restaurants and Food Trucks, as well as entertainment from local musicians. This will be a free event for the public which the Club hopes will bring citizens back to the Downtown area. The Rotary Club of Westfield will be selling beer and wine, to enhance the overall experience.
The event will be held on Elm Street between Franklin Street and Main Street on Friday, August 26, between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm., Saturday, August 27 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm, and Sunday, August 28th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
Some local participating restaurants include: Pasquale’s, Janik’s Pierogis, The Pahk and Ebenezer’s. The event will also include fantastic food trucks such as: Ed &Angies, Sun Kim Bop Korean, Silver Platter Gourmet, Bistro Bus, Moolicious Ice Cream, Angelo’s Fried Dough, Buster’s, Mo’s Donuts and Ed’s Fries. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Westfield, Boy Scout Troop 109, Amelia Park Children’s Museum, and other local nonprofits will also have a presence. The event will also feature a variety of local artists and craftspeople doing interactive, family-friendly demonstrations.
Westfield’s local radio station, WSKB 89.5FM, will be broadcasting live on location for the duration of the event.
Live music will be heard throughout the duration of the weekend. The event features a main stage, located in front of Westfield Bank. An acoustic stage, sponsored by Kirby Productions and Riverside Productions will be located on the south end of the Food Fest. Musical selections encompass a wide range of styles from fantastic local performers.
