Westfield State University to hold graduate open houses

WESTFIELD – The Division of Graduate and Continuing Education (DGCE) at Westfield State University will hold a joint open house for the M.S. in criminal justice and the master of public administration programs on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Horace Mann Center.
Westfield State University’s master of public administration program offers several concentrations that prepare students for careers in administration within public and private sectors. The M.S. in criminal justice program is geared for students looking to advance their career in the criminal justice field or for those individuals looking to broaden their knowledge, conduct research, and prepare for a Ph.D. program.
“Many graduate students have familial and career responsibilities that must be prioritized when it comes to furthering their education,” said Jessica Tansey, acting director, Program Development and Outreach, DGCE. “The DGCE at Westfield State values its students and is aware of and sensitive to the fact that continuing school brings with it these challenges.”
To recognize the diverse needs of its students, Westfield State University offers many accommodations including late afternoon and evening classes, and two summer sessions.
In addition to learning more about the programs and each concentration, prospective students will have the opportunity to speak with the program coordinators, advisors, and faculty. The DGCE will also speak to attendees about the application process. All individuals who attend this Open House will have the $50 application fee waived.
