WESTFIELD – The Engineering Department has provided a paving update for the City. While projects have been ongoing throughout the summer, the weather has impacted their rate of progress. The City asks that you please follow any posted traffic notices, and be cautious of workers in the roadways.
The following streets will be paved in the month of August by Lane Construction:
- North Road – From Montgomery Road to 600-feet east of Southampton Road
- Dry Bridge Road – From Springdale Road to Sandy Hill Road
- East Silver Street – From Broad Street to Noble Street
- Montgomery Road – From the MassPike bridge to the High School Entrance
- Old Stage Road – From Route 202 to Long Pond Road
- Middle Road – From Old Stage Road to the Southampton Town Line
The work began the week of August 6th and is expected to take approximately 2 weeks to complete depending on the weather. During this time the manhole covers will be elevated 2-inches above the surface until the final pavement is placed. Please use caution while driving through work zones.
As part of an ongoing project, Lane Construction will also be paving the following streets in August:
- Papermill Road
- Joseph Avenue
- Amy Drive
- Grandview Drive
- Christopher Drive
