WESTFIELD – William Clark Wallis of Westfield passed away on January 16, 2014, at a local nursing home. He was the son of William L. Wallis and Edith Clark Wallis. Born March 5, 1923, in Westfield, he was a graduate of Westfield High School (Class of “41) and an Army veteran of World War II.
After graduating from Bay Path College, he was employed for over thirty-five years as an order compiler in the offices of Old Colony Envelope Company in Westfield.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Rita Hicks Wallis of Westfield and their two sons, the Reverend William Hicks Wallis of Westfield, and Christopher Clark Wallis, also of Westfield. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Earl Pilgrim of Canton, Georgia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the First Methodist Church 16 Court St. in Westfield. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street in Westfield. Burial will be Tuesday, January 21st at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, in Westfield.
