FLORIDA: William E. Caba, 90, (1928-2018) passed away in Venice, FL on October 11, 2018 at the Tidewell Hospice House. He was born in Westfield, one of seven children, of the late Frank and Charlotte (Murenko) Caba. He attended Westfield Schools and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Westfield State. Bill was a business entrepreneur, working as a general contractor in Westfield for many years before teaching carpentry and applied math at Westfield Vocational High School for twenty years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting at Moosehead Lake, Maine and he loved classical music. Bill considered himself to be very patriotic and had a great love of his country. He spent winters in Venice, FL and summers in Westfield, his “two Heavens on Earth.” He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Nancy A. (Keller) Caba in 2002 and is survived by his daughter, Catherine C. Parmentier and her husband Gary of West Springfield and his grandson Steven Shapiro of West Springfield.
William’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 17th at 10 AM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad St., Westfield, followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Lockhouse Rd., Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield.
