SOUTHWICK – William John Pieczarka (known by friends as Johnny) age 97 passed away Sunday June 19, 2016. Born 1919 in Southwick, MA to John and Kathryn Pieczarka, Johnny was one of twelve children. He took responsibility at an early age helping manage the family farm. With his wife Jeannette (Brochu 2013) they started their own nursery, market garden and poultry farm called “Fuss-n-Feathers” in Southwick. There they raised three children: David Pieczarka of NY, Donna Mussmann of PA and Joan Bannish of Southwick. Johnny will always be remembered for his ability to master any trade, and his capability to execute tasks to perfection. He grew the finest vegetables, and flowers by day, and enjoyed playing pitch, listening to polkas, and playing his harmonica for his family by night. Family and friends are asked to gather at Saturday, June 25, 2016, 10AM with a Funeral Home Service at 11AM at the WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION, 4 Princeton Street, Westfield, MA. The burial will be private for the family. Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation has been entrusted with these arrangements.
