SOUTHWICK: – Marion (Stickney) Wirth, 103, (1912-2016) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in her home at the American Inn. Born in Buffalo, NY to Arthur and Esther Stickney, she was the eldest of five children. In 1992, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles A. Wirth, Jr. Marion was a long-time resident of Cherry Hill, NJ where she enjoyed cooking, traveling, golf and bridge. In 2004, she moved to the American Inn and met many new neighbors who became endearing and loving friends. An avid bridge player, she was a well-respected member of the Westfield Bridge Club. The family is most grateful for the unending support shown by everyone during her century of excellent health, as well as in the months before her passing. Marion is survived by her daughters, Shirley White, of Westfield, MA; Susan Fusco of Newburyport, MA; Barbara Boyer and husband Winfield of Hertford, NC; her son Donald Wirth and wife Victoria of Brentwood, TN. Her six grandchildren include Natalie Lapointe and husband Richard of Ellington, CT; Deanna O’Connor and husband Edwin of Florence, MA; Meredith Dunbar and husband Matthew of Canal Winchester, OH; David Fusco and wife Erika of Scottsdale, AZ; Britta Farren and husband Dave of Jackson, WY; Ryan Wirth of Denver, CO. Her eight great-grandchildren include Kevin, Elise and Jonathan Lapointe, Patrick and Ryan O’Connor, Gwyneth and Greyson Dunbar, and Porter Farren. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, 12 noon at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA. Calling hours are from 11:30 to 12:00.
