BLANDFORD – Cara Letendre earned a resounding victory in her write-in candidacy for a three-year seat on the Blandford Board of Selectman in the town election on Saturday. Letendre gained 146 write-in votes in the unconfirmed count, according to the town clerk. On the ballot, incumbent Andy Montanaro received 53 votes and Bryan Young, 35 votes.
Letendre, a Gateway graduate, has lived most of her life in Blandford. Currently, she serves as the secretary for the Water Department in town, and previously served as the secretary for the Select Board.
Selectman was the only contested seat on the warrant. All other candidates on the ballot were elected.
