WESTFIELD – YouthWorks coordinator and Westfield High School adjustment counselor Joseph Fiore said there are still some summer positions available for youth ages 16 to 21 who are not currently employed.
Fiore said the positions pay $13.50 an hour for 20 hours a week through Aug. 20. No work experience is necessary. “It’s a good way to get job experience, and something to put on your resume,” he said.
Participants in the grant-funded program take part in paid short-term work placements at public, private and nonprofit worksites while receiving training in soft core skills and learning how to relate to supervisors and co-workers at their worksites. Some online positions are also available this summer.
