SOUTHWICK – Yvette E. (Salvas) Foisy, 90, formerly of 47 Granville Road, and a resident of this town for over 63 years passed away peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Governor’s Center, Westfield, MA. Born and educated in Berlin, NH, Yvette was the daughter of the late Thomas & Elda (Cote) Salvas.
She had been previously employed at the Granville Drum Shop many years ago, and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
She is survived by a son, Raymond A. Foisy and his wife Donna of Southwick, MA; her brother, Robert Salvas and sisters, Cecile Bourke & Florette Dubuc all of Berlin, NH, and Lorette Merrill of Northridge, CA; two grandchildren, Jason Foisy and his wife Jody, and Stefanie Foisy; and a great-granddaughter, Renee’. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Foisy in 2006; and a son, Robert L. Foisy in 1965.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Southwick-Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield, MA. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 8th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
