WESTFIELD: Zachary P. Johnson, 28, (1993-2022) of Westfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2022.
Zachary is survived by his son, Jayden, his parents James and Cheryl Johnson, his sister and best friend Elizabeth Johnson, and his maternal grandfather and fishing buddy Phillip Pitoniak. Zachary is also survived by his wife Dawn Johnson. Zack leaves behind his brother, Jacob Pasterczyk, biological father, Jeffrey Pasterczyk, biological grandmothers, Judy Pasterczyk and Donna Jones.
Zachary was predeceased by his biological mother Melanie Pasterczyk. Zachary remains loved by his many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Zachary was a 2012 graduate of Westfield Vocational Technical High School and completed Job Corps at Westover in Chicopee, MA. Zack was a recent employee of the Salvation Army. Zachary loved hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his son. He grew up deep-sea fishing with his dad and will always be remembered for his prize-winning Tiger Muskie. When we think of Zachary, we’ll be filled with memories of his kind heart, his commitment to always helping others, and his ability to befriend any animal.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd., Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4-6PM at the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Zachary can be made to Whip City Animal Sanctuary, where Jayden is a volunteer, at 232 Montgomery Rd., Westfield, MA 01085 of whipcityanimalsactuary.com
