If the race for first place in the Monday/Wednesday division of Westfield’s Adult Softball league is any indication, the 2015 playoffs are going to feature quite the entertainment at Whitney Park.
With the playoffs starting within the next week, the top four teams all finished the regular season with at least 20 wins, the four highest seeds finished within two games of each other. Berkshire Industries/Firtion Adams (22-7) earned a sweep of their doubleheader with wins over Short Stop Bar & Grill and Maple Leaf, while the Hangar (21-7) and Micro Abrasives (20-9) split a pair of games, including the conclusion of a suspended game in May.
Dog Pound concluded the evening with a 12-run win over Savage Arms to finish the season at 22-7, tied for first with BI/FA. The playoff brackets will be determined later in the week, with playoffs starting soon after.
