Elaine M. Dickinson

GRANVILLE: Elaine M. Dickinson, 86, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Westfield on April 28, 1929 to the late Joseph and Theresa Maceyka. She grew up in Blandford attended schools in Westfield and was a 1947 graduate of Westfield High School. She was a bookkeeper for Eastern States Farm Exchange until 1954. Elaine was also a bookkeeper for her husband’s company Glenn J. Dickinson Excavating and Trucking for 63 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing the piano, snowmobiling, cooking, baking and painting. She was a member of the choir at the Granville Federated Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband Glenn J. Dickinson on July 11th. She leaves two daughters, Joanne “Jan” Dickinson of Westfield, Judy Dickinson-Zering and (son) Jimmy Zering of Granville, her brother Cyril Maceyka of Westfield, Elaine also leaves her five loving granddaughters, Candy Goyette and husband Paul, Starr Hockenberry and husband Eric, Kara Dziengelewski and boyfriend Dave Marchesi, Danielle Zering, and Alexandra Zering, and four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Parker, Chadand Brooke. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Ernie, Joe, Paul, Emil and Dorothy. The funeral for Elaine will be held on Wednesday, August 5th at 11 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Silver Street Cemetery in Granville. A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 10 am till 11 am. Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
