WESTFIELD: Sue (Kurtzo) Snyder, 98, died peacefully at Baystate Noble Hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday March 15, 2016. She was born June 14, 1917 in Scranton, PA to the late Michael and Mary (Radvak) Kurtzo and moved to Westfield with her husband John in 1941. She remained a lifelong resident of Westfield where she raised her daughter Beverly and son Gary. She worked at White Industries for 25 years retiring in 1982 at age 65. She will be deeply missed by her children Gary Snyder and Beverly Stefano, her grandchildren Brian, Brenda, and Shellene, also great grandchildren Brittany, Lindsay, Oriana, Jadon and Nehum. She also leaves a sister Olga Gretz of Scranton, PA. She was predeceased by husband John who passed away in 1974 after 35 years of marriage. Funeral services for Sue will be held on Saturday March 19, beginning at 9 am followed by an 11 am service at St John’s Lutheran Church on 60 Broad Street Westfield, MA with a burial at St John’s Cemetery on Lockhouse Rd. in Westfield.
