Ervan R. Hague

WESTFIELD – Ervan Richard Hague, 81, of Russell, MA, passed away surrounded by his family on June 9, 2019. Born in Russell to the late Alfred Kurtz Hague, Sr. and Marietta S. Thibodeau Hague, Richard worked in the retail business for many years at Sears, Dealer Supply, Taylor Rental and Interstate Building Supply. A master craftsman, Richard also went into business for himself as a carpenter for many years. Richard loved to work outside, especially in his gardens. Richard was passionate about his family and friends and never met a stranger. Richard spent many years working with kids in town serving as Cub Scout Troop Leader and in the church. He was most happy spending time with his family, on family gatherings and vacations and spending time with and teaching various skills to his grandchildren.

He leaves behind the love of his life of almost 56 years, Sandra Hague, his children Robert Hague and his wife Bethany, and Ann-Marie Marcil and her husband Glenn, and four wonderful grandchildren, Melissa Hague, Robert Hague, Rayna Marcil and Laney Marcil. Richard leaves behind two sisters, Esther Avery of Westfield, MA, and Audrey Whitman of Feeding Hills, MA, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Alfred Hague, Charles Hague and Thomas Hague, and one sister, Barbara Fournier. Visiting hours are from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 in the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St., Westfield. The funeral will take place at 11AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the White Church in Blandford, MA, burial will follow in Russell Cemetery, Westfield Rd. Russell.
