WEST NEWBURY, Mass. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 2 1/2-year-old girl who died after falling into a pond in West Newbury.
Police say Elizabeth Dayter was pulled from Mill Pond just after 12:45 p.m. Sunday.
Rescue crews performed CPR on her. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Essex District Attorney’s Office says her death is not suspicious. State and local police are investigating.
