WESTFIELD – William K. Tatro, 69, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. He was born in Westfield to the late Amie A. and Ellen R. (Palmer) Tatro. He was a graduate of Westfield High School in 1968 and from STCC in 1970 with an Associate’s Degree in Science Electronic Technology. Bill was employed as a custodian in Westfield North Middle School for 35 years and retired in 2009 as senior custodian. Bill also was an EMT for 25 years. He was a past exalted ruler of the Holyoke Lodge of Elks and a member of the Westfield Lodge of Elks, an officer in the Mass Public Schools Custodian Union, Westfield Public Schools Custodian Association, and a vice president of the Friends of the Westfield Council of Aging. Bill is survived by his wife Daryl J. (Rix) Tatro of Westfield, a son John Turner of N. Carolina, a daughter, MaryAnne Beckwith and her husband David of Westfield. Bill’s funeral will be held on Saturday, December 28th, at 3PM with visiting hours prior to the service from 1-3PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield.
