Well here we go again. The good ole boys on the city council chose someone they know for city treasurer! The other candidates were obviously more qualified, unbelievable! Time to wake up Westfield, we need some new faces in city hall, including the mayor.

Why would you take a charming, authentic New England village green and turn it into a cheesy Disney-like version packed with lights, ornaments, mounds, identifying plaques, a dwarfed fountain… and more lights to come? In passing I counted 50 lights and it’s only half finished. What about energy conservation? What’s the projected electric bill going to be? Who’s going to pay for it? With so many people in town truly unhappy with this over worked fiasco…why isn’t anyone listening?

Whats up with the razing of the Elm Street bldgs? Every construction project in Westfield drags on and on. It looks worse than before it started. Our city always looks like a bomb went off. The managers of these projects should make sure everything’s in order before kickoff. Accountability people!

I have seen the Republican Senatorial candidate backed up by his family in his political ads.  I’ve yet to see one political ad from his opponent, the Democratic Senatorial candidate backed up by her family. Why do you suppose that is?

I’ve got quite a few things and I’m sorry I have to be a complainer. I wish I could have better things but there’s a lot of things going on that we need help with.  Nobody wants Cross Street School.  Forget it! Nobody wants the PVTA station.  That’s brought up.  Forget it! And while they’re talking about that they have a whole urban development plan.  Does anybody know what that is like? Could that get thrown in the paper to show us what that plan is? The Pochassic Street Bridge – why do we want this arch? You’re spending so much money on this arch.  What are we doing with it? What’s it for? Nobody goes through there.  There’s nothing on the other side.  Waste of money.  Fix the bridge! And while you’re trying to fix the bridge you guys have a police officer at the end down on Notre Dame Street and North Elm.  Could you please have a cop stay longer after the schools get out? Right after the last bus goes, the cop is gone.  We’re stuck in traffic for hours. We’re stuck in traffic during traffic jams on Fridays.  Could somebody be there and help? We could get more help up here on the hill during the hard times and show some help.  We have our President Ward Keefe there.  I haven’t heard of nothing you’re doing.  You speak of nothing to show help.  You live up here.  You’re not doing nothing.  You’re the mayor’s puppet.  That’s why.  And if I’m wrong please speak up and tell us what you’re doing to help us.  That bridge is going nowhere.  It’s been lies forever. Road repairs in Westfield.  Union Street was one of them.  Dug up.  Repaired crappy! You guys said you hadn’t fixed it.  You came up with rules.  The same thing is going on up by The Purple Onion up on North Road.  The road is crap! Bad repair! You’re letting the contractors get away with it. Why are there five lights going on Meadow Street? You take that corner there are five lights within twenty feet away from electricity.  Waste of property! There’s a no turn on red on a one way.  There’s no left turns in the world.  That sign is useless.  In front of The Tavern at the rotary on the corner, there’s a bike lane.  in the middle of the road it’s painted with a bike lane and then it ends at the end of the corner.  Are people supposed to crash into the bike then? I don’t know what the hell that’s about.  Everybody is complaining about the Union Street intersection with the way the roads come together.  Nothing’s being done.  I’ve had 18 close incidents there and I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong. If the person is cutting me off or if I’m cutting them off.  Everybody’s complaining about that.  Nobody is doing nothing.  It’s over and over with the PulseLine with the same complaints… the mayor, the council,  You guys ignore us.  I hope none of you run again.  I’m not voting for any of you.  Mister Mayor: here’s a question for you.  Are you going to run again? And do you think you’re going to win? I challenge you to answer this question.  Mr. Barry, you talk to the mayor a lot. Ask him if he’s going to run again and if he thinks anybody will rehire him.  I’d really like to hear his opinion on that.  That’s a challenge.  And I’m very close to coming out and saying my name.  There’s a lot of people.  We’re talking.  We’re getting groups together on how to get things done in Westfield because you guys are doing a terrible job.  Some things are very nice.  I admit that.  But you’re grant happy.  Any kind of bid you get you just suck them up, whether it’s for the good of Westfield or not.  Just like Cross Street. Obviously that ain’t going to fit.  Sorry. I got more but I’m tired and I need water.
