Not sure if you or Western Ave residents are aware but there is an open meeting at City Hall next Tuesday at 7:00 Rm 209 called by The Public Works Department to discuss a WSU request for an additional 6 banners along Western Ave. Enough is Enough! I will send out a note to as many neighbors as I can, to get neighborhood support and attendance up at the meeting to protest the attempt to make Western Ave the local version of Riverdale Street in W. Springfield. The meeting notification was in the legal notices on the back section of the Westfield Paper yesterday. It would appear that the location of the notice and advance publication of the open meeting is another attempt to minimize neighborhood awareness and/or participation on issues of potential impact on the area, or that might be contrary to WSU’s wants, or a blow to Mr. Dobelle’s ego.
