12:18 a.m.: assist resident, Washington Street, a State Police dispatcher reports an intoxicated and cold man in a Washington Street parking lot requests a ride home, the responding officer reports the man exhibited the classic symptoms of intoxication and apologized for involving police, the officer reports a taxi was summoned and the man was allowed to warm up in his cruiser until the taxi arrived;
11:12 a.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a supermarket security officer reports fraudulent payroll checks have been cashed in several of the chain’s stores including an East Main Street store, the responding officer reports that copies of payroll checks with legitimate account numbers have been cashed at the stores;
11:39 a.m.: vandalism, Allen Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that her former boyfriend punctured a tire on her car, the responding officer reports the woman said that she does not want to pursue criminal charges and complained of past abuse by the man, the officer reports he advised the woman of the process to seek an abuse prevention order, the man subsequently called police to complain that the woman stole his dog while he was sleeping so he deflated one of her tires to prevent her from going away with the dog;
2:51 p.m.: identity fraud, William Street, a resident came to the station to complain that her social security number was misused, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she attempted to open a G&E account and found that her social security number is already associated with an existing account owned by a person she does not know, the woman was advised to contact the credit reporting agencies;
9:46 p.m.: assist resident, Pontoosic Street, a caller reports her son is highly intoxicated and in the process of walking to Broad Street, the responding officer reports he found the man on Pontoosic Street and although he admitted drinking a pint of vodka earlier in the afternoon he did not appear to be impaired, the man said that he had argued with his family and thought it best to absent himself so he was walking to visit a friend on Broad Street, the officer reports that due to the extreme cold he provided the man a courtesy transport to a Broad Street address.
