1:45 a.m.
: disturbance, arrest, 11 Arnold Street, staff member of Maple Leaf Inn reports a subject is attempting to fight patrons leaving the establishment, staff report locking the door to prevent the subject, who is intoxicated, from coming inside, officer reports subject was located and identified, staff provided with information needed to seek a trespass order, Michael R. Hiltbrand, 43, of 5 Green Avenue taken into custody on three warrants;
9:25 a.m.: fraud, Big Y supermarket, 1 East Silver St., caller reports subject paid for merchandise with a check from a closed account, referred to the detective bureau for further investigation;
12:24 p.m.: motor vehicle theft, 126 Union Street, citizen came to station to report that her 2015 Honda Accord was stolen Tuesday evening, officer reports that the stolen vehicle was later involved in a police chase, citizen stated that her vehicle was impounded by state police, citizen identified suspect in theft of the vehicle, officer provided a report needed to recover reporting party’s property;
1:26 p.m.: breaking and entering, Dox Road, citizen called to report that her residence had been entered and the a television and computer were missing, officer reports no sign of forced entry, but that a key is missing, referred to the detective bureau for further investigation;
2:34 p.m.: larceny, Buschmann Avenue, citizen called to report theft of a Cub Cadet rider mower which was parked next to the residence, theft appears to have occurred during the night, officer reports lawn tractor valued at $1,600, information taken;
7:14 p.m.: trespassing, Danek Drive, caller reports a person who was served a trespass order is in the vicinity of the caller’s residence, officer reports no police services required;
9:34 p.m.: shoplifting, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, security reports 16-year-old boy attempted to shoplift sunglasses, officer reports property recovered, information taken, services rendered;
9:34 p.m.: larceny, Dunkin Donuts, 181 Elm St., staff report the theft of a donation jar supporting the Greater Westfield Boys and Girls Club, referred to the detective bureau for further investigation;
11:40 p.m.: suspicious activity, East Main Street, caller reports two youths on bicycles are carrying a third bicycle, officer located the youths who were transporting the third bicycle to a friend who is employed at Walmart and plan to ride home with her after she gets off work, no services needed.
