9:51 a.m.: accident, Westfield Athenaeum, Elm St., minor property damage;
12:56 p.m.: accident, Tobacco Barn, 49 Elm Street, pedestrian struck and transported to Noble Hospital with minor injuries; two vehicles stopped at crosswalk for pedestrian while a third vehicle rear-ended one of the stopped vehicles, which pushed that vehicle into the pedestrian;
4:04 p.m.: fraud, Wings Over Westfield, 29 School St., employer reported a delivery driver was fraudulently altering the tips on credit card slips, no customers were overcharged; employee, Jerry D. Mauldin, 31, of 30 Taylor Ave., Apt. 5, was arrested on charges of an outstanding warrant;
4:44 p.m.: vandalism, Hampden St., a resident reported his tire was slashed overnight;
6:43 p.m.: weather complaint, Westfield Fair Association Grounds, 137 Russellville Road, storm split a tree and caused a traffic hazard;
7:04 p.m.: weather complaint, 15 Second Ave., 60-foot tree struck by lightning;
7:14 p.m.: accident, 67 Orange St. at 25 Kellogg St., two vehicles, no injuries, one vehicle towed;
10:25 p.m.: accident, 451 Springdale Road, minor property damage, patient refused transport;
11:40 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, intoxicated person transported to Noble Hospital.
