WESTFIELD: Florence R. (Webster) Soule, 82, a lifelong resident of Westfield passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Westfield to the late Norman and Rita (Orlandi) Webster, and was a 1952 graduate of Westfield High School where she was a cheerleader. She met and married Louis H. Soule in 1953 and was married in 1954, celebrating 61 years together. Florence at the age of 16, contracted Polio and was sent for rehab in Warm Springs, GA, and despite the effects of Polio she was able to travel and raise her family. She was employed as a legal secretary for Anderson and Beard for many years. Florence was a dedicated mother and wife, who enjoyed baking and knitting for family, traveling to Cape Cod and spent 25 winters at Jekyll Island, GA.She enjoyed playing computer games and was a member of the Italian American Woman’s Club. Florence is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Louis H. Soule of Westfield, her loving children, Peter B. Soule and his wife MaryBeth of Westfield; Leiann W. Messer and her husband Lawrence of Westfield and Norman R. Soule of Florence, MA, her sister Gail N. Szyndlar and her husband Stanley of Concord, N.H. and her brother James N. Webster and his wife Susan of Blandford, and her cherished grandchildren, Tim, Laura, Dan, John, Andrew, Katie, Aaron and Angela and great grandchildren, Nick, Bridget, Eli,Abigael, Emma, Zoe, Sophie, Abigayle, Kali and Lexi. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield.
