It was a quiet day for Westfield Police.
6:54 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Mill Street. Police went to a call of a car that hit a deer. Police arrived and no human was injured, but police reported that the car was damaged and a deer was on the side of the road with a broken leg. Police contacted Environmental Police to take care of the deer, but police eventually “put down” the animal.
8:08 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Springfield Road. Police received a report for a minor accident involving a 2016 Lexus RX and a 2010 Nissan Altima. No airbags or injuries were reported.
12:54 p.m.: Accidental 911 call, Monroe Street. Police reported that a woman called 911 looking for a phone number for her doctor’s office. Police went to her residence and the woman eventually was transported to Baystate Noble by Westfield Fire EMS.
