Westfield Babe Ruth President Dan Welch and World Series volunteer Coordinator Chris Gezotis made an appearance at the Mayor’s Office late Thursday afternoon.

Mayor Brian Sullivan made his pledge to the Babe Ruth World Series by signing up as a volunteer. After exhausting through all of the possible volunteer options, Mayor Sullivan chose to be a press box runner.

The process of volunteering was rather simple for the Mayor as he went onto www.westfieldworldseries.com and clicked on the “How You Can Help” tab. In that tab, there is a list of volunteering options and at the bottom of the page there is a green box to click for filling out the volunteer form.

The progress for finding volunteers is being made as 57% of the volunteer positions have been filled. With the Babe Ruth World Series less than three weeks away, Mayor Sullivan, Welch, and Gezotis are looking for the Westfield community to reach out and volunteer their time for this event.
