WESTFIELD – Frank J. Zomek Jr. “Snookie”, 74, (1940-2016) of Westfield passed away suddenly on Monday Aug. 1, 2016, at his home. He was born in Westfield Aug. 26, 1941 the son of the late Frank W. and Julia W. (Florek) Zomek.
He was educated at the former Holy Trinity School and a graduate of the Westfield Vocational High school class of 1959. Frank was employed for over 40 years as a machinist at Advanced Manufacturing in Westfield, retiring in 2007.
Frank was a communicant of the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Westfield. In addition to playing competitive darts with his friends, he was a member of Bowling Leagues at the former Town and Country lanes, was an avid golfer and member at the East Mountain Country Club. Frank took great pride in his home and was meticulous in the care of his lawn and gardens.
Frank’s Beloved wife of 50 years, Judith (Bernaquer) passed away in 2014 and his beloved son Jeffrey F. passed away in 2007. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his adored daughter Kimberly Z. Sulek, her husband Andrew, and their daughter Delaney. Also his loving brothers Lawrence P., David and his wife Dorcas, and his many nieces and nephews including Tammy (Zomek) Deni and Kevin Zomek. Frank’s greatest love was in his spending time with his cherished granddaughter Delaney.
A Calling hour will be held Saturday 9:00AM to 10:30 AM at the Robert E. Cusack Funeral Home 94 Main St., with a mass of Christian burial 11AM at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish 127 Holyoke Rd. followed by burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery all in Westfield, MA.
