10:44 a.m.: Accident, Holland Avenue. Police received a report of a hit-and-run accident. According to the person whose vehicle was struck on scene, the other vehicle that struck them was a silver SUV and the license plate, according to police, was not a valid plate. Police had no further information available at the time of the report.
11:10 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report from a couple who claimed that they were victims of an online scam involving the sale of a puppy. The couple had paid $400 to an out-of-state agent for a puppy and the agent requested more money, which was when the couple became suspicious. Police reported $400 was lost.
12:26 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report from a resident who claimed that a relative’s significant other had stolen two personal checks, forged the victim’s name and cashed them. The victim reported however, that the alleged suspect also wrote the checks out to themselves in order to cash them. Police were investigating and $210 was reported lost.
