2:25 p.m.: Accident, South Maple Street and Pleasant Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a 2010 Nissan Altima and a 1999 Mack 600 with an injury. Police and Westfield Fire paramedics responded to the scene and paramedics transported one person to Baystate Noble Hospital. Additionally, one vehicle was towed from the scene.

3:03 p.m.: Missing person, walk-in. Police received a report for a youth that was missing from a program in Westfield. According to the report, the youth had left school early, which has prompted the youth program to tell police that the child is missing. Police conducted a search for the child.

8:43 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a report from loss prevention at Walmart that Cassandra Figueroa, 27, of Springfield, had reportedly attempted to shoplift by leaving with over $200 in items through self-checkout without paying for the items. According to police, the woman’s child was also in her custody at the time. Police arrested Figueroa and charged her with shoplifting by asportation, second offense.

9:58 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received another shoplifting report at Walmart, this time by a youth who had reportedly taken a Boost mobile phone and attempted to pass all points of sale and leave the building. The youth was able to leave the store and start walking down Springfield Road, but police were able to catch up and stop the individual. This individual was also the one that was reported missing earlier in the day. Police arrested the individual but due to them being a minor, no further information could be divulged.

10:49 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a third shoplifting complaint from Walmart after an unnamed woman attempted to conceal unpaid merchandise in a bag and leave. According to the loss prevention officer at Walmart, the woman reportedly dropped the bag and entered a vehicle, leaving the scene. Police were given a description of the vehicle and were able to stop it on East Mountain Road. Police reportedly gave a “no trespassing” order to the unnamed woman but did not arrest her.
