Carl J. Wright, 33, of 215 Huntington Road, Russell, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 45 days. A charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs was not prosecuted.
Elizabeth C. Rhodes, 51, of 126 Union St., Westfield, saw charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by Westfield police not prosecuted.
Marelino Gonzalez, 77, of 29 Union St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a May 31 hearing after he was arraigned on two charges of indecent assault and battery of a person 14 years-of-age or older brought by Westfield police.
John A. Sein III, 22, of no fixed address in Massachusetts, saw a charge of larceny of property valued less than $250 brought by Westfield police not prosecuted. See story in the March 29 edition of The Westfield News. In a second case also brought by Westfield police Sein pleaded guilty a charge of shoplifting by asportation.
Ruben Lagares, 56, of 70 Harrison Ave., Springfield, saw a charge of rape of a child brought by Southwick police dismissed after he was arraigned and indicted for the same offense in superior court. See story in the March 29 edition of The Westfield News.
James C. Andrade, 39, of 85 Highland Ave., Westfield, pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of property damage brought by Westfield police and was fined $250. He was assessed $50, a charge of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration was not prosecuted and he was found to be not responsible for a state highway traffic violation.
Cody D. DaRosa, 25, of 128 Berkshire Ave., Southwick, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute brought by Southwick police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $90. He pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class E drug and was placed on probation for one year. In a separate case, DaRosa submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $90. He pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a Class B drug and was placed on probation for one year.
Kevin K. Prefontaine, 48, of 283 Podunk Rd., East Brookfield, was placed on pretrial probation for nine months to resolve charges of assault and battery on a family or household member and assault and battery with injury to a person 60 years-of-age or older brought by Westfield police.
