White survives the Madness

The final bucket dropped on March Madness and Villanova cut down the nets in the latest NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball championship Monday. Our Ultimate Sports challenge winner – Taylor White, of Westfield – also snipped the competition.
It was an historic trip to the Final Four this year with the first No. 1 seed (the overall top seed at that) going down in the opening round. Virginia and other heavyweight contenders like Arizona, Michigan State, and finally, Duke, fell. Loyola-Chicago outlasted nearly the entire competition with a spirited effort.
White is our first contestant to be entered into our grand prize drawing later on this summer. Taylor and four other entrants picked two of the Final Four teams. A random drawing provided the final result.
There is very little time to rest though as it’s time to pick a winner of the first Major leg of the PGA Tour, The Masters. It is one of the most anticipated “openers” in years with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson set to log their course among several of the up-and-comers on golf’s hallowed grounds.
Also, as an added bonus this year, we are asking contestants to choose a winner between the Red Sox and Yankees.
Stanton-Judge or Betts-Benintendi? Severino, Tanaka, Sale, Price. The matchups are enticing but choose wisely.
