4:28 a.m.: accident, Joseph Avenue at Amy Drive, a patrol officer reports that a tractor trailer unit apparently struck a fire hydrant and left the scene, the officer reports the hydrant was sheared off at the base;
12:01 p.m.: arrest, Day Avenue, a patrol officer reports a person sought by officers was seen operating a relative’s distinctive car, the car was stopped, Kevin Thomas Reynolds, 29, of 83 Berkshire Ave. Southwick, was arrested on a warrant issued by Westfield District Court;
4:02 p.m.: larceny, Broad Street, a caller reports she believes her cat was kidnapped or stolen, the responding officer reports the caller said the she was unable to find her cat when she returned home from work and believes her roommate may have taken the cat, the officer spoke by phone with the other party who said that he did not take the cat which he claimed ownership of, the officer advised both parties to document their claim to the cat;
5:23 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a car operating at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle, the operator’s license was found to be suspended, Christopher C. Wallace, 32, of 301 South St., Chesterfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
