Next Thursday, May 3rd, we will hold our Second Annual Interfaith Candle Light Vigil on Domestic Violence on the Huntington Town Greens from 7 – 7:30 p.m. (Stanton Hall if it rains). We warmly encourage and invite everyone from the hilltowns and surrounding communities to join us.
By joining our Vigil you will help us send a clear message: there is nothing in any of our faith community teachings that condones or supports abuse.
We know that due to misconceptions about faith teachings, many victims and survivors of faith never tell a soul about being hurt, often by someone they love. By having this Vigil, we honor everyone who has been hurt. To those who have never told anyone about the abuse we say: you are not alone, and you deserve to be supported.

We are having a Vigil because we know that together, we can teach peace and respect. No one is born abusive. No one deserves to be abused, no matter what.
