WESTFIELD – Marion T. (Toporowski) Zomek, 85, (1941-2026) passed away on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Westfield to the late Leon and Jennie (Augustyniak) Toporowski. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Garcia and brother, Leon Toporowski.
Marion worked as an administrative assistant at Westfield State College for many years. Following her retirement, Marion and her husband Stanley loved to winter in Florida and spend most of the spring and fall vacationing in Ogunquit, Maine. She loved spending time with her family and taking walks with her sister, Elaine.
Marion is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Stanley C. Zomek, Jr. of Westfield, a brother Joseph Toporowski and his wife Elaine of Montgomery, MA, a sister Theresa Terczyak, her sister-in-law Janelle Wood and her husband Michael and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her family would like to thank the staff and nurses from Baystate VNA and Hospice for the optimal care given to Marion and her family.
All services for Marion will be private, and she will be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield.
