So, the week I decide to pick the Patriots from here on out … is the week they absolutely obliterated?!?
Hah, hah, joke’s on me.
Well, nearly 73 percent of the public surpassed my barely average 7-7 record in Week 2. Just like the Jaguars, one person clawed his way to the top – Robert Piper, of Westfield.
Piper was the lone entrant to go 12-2 to claim our weekly prize to The Tavern Restaurant. The Westfield native will join 16 other weekly winners in the grand prize drawing at season’s end.
A friendly reminder from my chief statistician Melissa Hartman: don’t forget to include your tie-breaker total (once again, this is the combined total points for the Sunday night football game).
WEEK ONE RECAP: My gaffe of picking against the New England Patriots in Week One gave contestants a better chance at some bigger prizes, what I’d like to call an early Christmas present, of sorts as James Vincent walked away with a gift card. Vincent went 11-2, easily surpassing my 9-4 mark.-
Piper leads the way
