Helene Jean (Morawiec) Parsons, 88, of West Springfield, beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Parsons for 66 years passed away peacefully at her home December 14, 2018. She was the loving daughter of the late Aloijzy (Alec) and Victoria (Los) Morawiec. Helene was born and raised in Westfield, MA where she graduated from Westfield High School and fell in love with her husband Bob. Saturday, January 26th, 1952 was a wintery day in Westfield. Helene and Bob rushed along their wedding plans to accommodate Bob’s deployment with the U.S. Air Force. Thus, began a journey that would take Helene to all parts of the world, leaving her mark of Love with friends and acquaintances from far-away places like the Azores and England, back to Florida, through Missouri, and settling in West Springfield. Helene was the epitome of a loving wife and mother, dedicating her life to the love of others, never expecting anything in return.
Her true spirit of goodness will be deeply missed by her husband Bob; her two children, Vicki (Parsons) Martin and her husband Art, Robert Parsons Jr. and his fiancé Becky Todd; her brother Edwin Morawiec and his wife Helen; her five grandchildren, James Martin and his wife Thea, Brian Martin and his wife Jillian, Michael Martin and his wife Lynn, Kelly (Martin) Bien and her husband Sean; her ten great grandchildren, Ariana, David, Leah, Ella, Katie, Winnie, Michael, Lukasz, Abigail, and soon to be, Allison “Jean”; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and too many friends to mention. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held when the flowers return in the spring! In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s National Catholic Church, 73 Main Street, Westfield, MA. Arrangements are being made by Firtion Adams of Westfield.
