According to Granville Police Lt. Rick Rindels, once Granville Police officers arrived on scene, they discovered that it was a verbal argument and the officers told the male party, Rickey Williams, to leave the apartment. But, at roughly 7:40 p.m. on Saturday night, Granville Police received another call that Williams came back to the apartment.

On their arrival, Granville Police arrested Williams after he failed to obey the officer’s commands and became combative and had a physical altercation with the officers. Williams was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was booked at the Granville Police station. Williams was then denied bail and was transported to the Hampden County House of Corrections and will appear in the Westfield District Court on Monday.
