WESTFIELD – 
In loving memory of Valmore Prest, 85 (1934-2019) of Westfield, MA who passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2019. After attending Westfield schools Val served in the United States Navy. Following his service to our countr, Val worked for Bendix Abrasives for 32 years and then worked for the City of Westfield, Parks Department until he retired. He was a member of American Legion Post 124 and a lifetime member of VFW. Val will be missed by his entire family. He leaves his wife of 62 years Irene Juknevicz, a son Mark E Prest and fiancé Catherine Ross, daughter Valerie Baker and her husband David, grandchildren Mark Prest Jr., Matt Prest and his wife Jeannie, Michael Prest and Julie Tolek, Mitchell Prest, Brian Baker and Jeffery Baker. Two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Nora Prest, a sister Ceil Pilbrow and nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Agawam, MA with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Westfield, MA. Firtion Adams is in charge of all arrangements. The Prest family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Homecare, Dispatch Health, Beacon Hospice and Sandy for helping to keep him comfortable and safely at home during his last days.
