WESTFIELD: Bruce Purdy, 68, died on October 30, 2021 at Noble Hospital in Westfield. Bruce was born in Westfield, MA on July 18, 1953 to the late Marcus D. Purdy and Elsie A. (Brueno) Purdy. Bruce was one of 12 siblings.
He leaves his siblings, Ben (Pat) Purdy, Craig (Ruth) Purdy, Donna (Tim) Kannel, Eileen (Jack) Minelli, Faye Wysocki, Gayle Valencia, Holly (Dan) Beckwith. He was predeceased by his siblings, Marcus Purdy, Marsha Tardif, Arthur Purdy, and John Purdy.
Bruce is survived by his 3 children, Keith Purdy and his wife, Shannon Purdy, Coralee Towle and her husband, Dan Towle, Marcus Purdy and his girlfriend, Lisette Maldonado. He leaves his grandchildren, Isabella Purdy, Darin & Grace Towle and Casey & Callie Coulombe. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his long time friend Roy Hunt.
Bruce enjoyed working on cars and taking long motorcycle rides. He could always be found cooking in the kitchen for large quantities, even if it was just for him. He was the type to always help a friend in need even if it meant sacrificing something for himself or his family.
