WESTFIELD – Mary Ellen (Lacey) Tighe, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on January 8, 1944 to the late George A and Victoria (Lukaszewicz) Lacey. She was pre-deceased by her husband Charles J. Tighe Jr. on September 20, 2021.
She was a 1963 graduate of West Springfield High School. She was a graduate of Mansfield Beauty Academy and was an assistant cook at the Passionate Fathers Monastery. Mary loved her family with unwavering passion that was evident to all who knew her. She had the blessing of being married to her best friend Charlie for over 50 years.
She leaves her son Charles J. Tighe, III with Emily Hartmann of Chicopee and her four daughters, Christine A. Tighe, Kathleen M. Hartley and her husband Brian, Kelly E. Yarasavych and her husband James and Colleen M. Patenaude and her husband Robert, all of Westfield, her cherished grandchildren Jocelyn and Alexis.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday September 8, 2022 at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield followed by burial in Middle Farms Cemetery, Russellville Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the Mass on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
