WESTFIELD – Florence H. (Janisieski) Patla, 97, (1925 – 2023) passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Westfield to the late Alexander and Martha (Maciorowski) Janisieski. She was employed as a clerk/secretary at the former Robinson Reminders in Westfield for 28 years. She also worked as a caterer out of her home for many years and made countless wedding cakes. She truly loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed spending time in West Yarmouth on the Cape with her family.
Sadly, Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband Matthew J. Patla, Sr. on December 1, 2000 and seven siblings, Ann Czarnecki, Jennie Skowronski, Sophie Blascak, Evelyn Mazut and Stanley, Wesley and Frank Janisieski.
She is survived by her four loving children, Linda J. Arthur and her husband David of Westfield, twin sons Matthew J. Patla, Jr. of Westfield and Michael J. Patla of Sun City Center, FL and David J. Patla and his wife Beth of Southampton, her sister Frances Zering of Westfield, two cherished grandchildren, Lynn Hurst and her husband Brian of Belchertown and Jenna Podracky and her husband Christopher of Orlando, FL and three great-grandchildren, Jack and Sadie Hurst and Lucas Podracky.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Florence on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield. There are no visiting hours. Donations in Florence’s name may be directed to Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield, MA 01085.
