WESTFIELD – Frank J. Folta, Jr., 77, (1946-2023) passed away on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Westfield to the late Mary (Fucci) and Frank J. Folta, Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Westfield Trade and was employed for over 30 years for New England Telephone as a lineman. He enjoyed hunting, skiing, gardening, traveling and was an avid New England sports fan. But mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his pets, Molly, Cloe and Willow.
Sadly, Frank was predeceased by his high school sweetheart and first wife of 34 wonderful and loving years, Jeanette M. (Kotarski) Folta in 2001.
He is survived by his second wife Rita Sevivas-Folta, who he shared 17 happy years with. He leaves his loving daughters who cared for him throughout his battle with his illness, Kimberly M. Hall and her husband Allyn and Deborah M. Florek, and her husband Jason, all of Westfield. He leaves his five grandchildren who he cherished: Kaleigh, Amanda, Hannah, Frank and Zachary. He leaves his stepchildren, Steven Sevivas and his wife Cheryl, Gary Sevivas and his wife Alice and Stacey Wikar, and her husband Michael and step-grandchildren, Jessica, Paige, Nicholas, Christian, Sedona, Nolan, and Aubrey.
His family would like to thank the staff at Brookhaven Hospice for the care and support shown to Frank and his family.
A Private burial and mass will be held at the convenience of the family. Frank is to be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield, next to Jeanette. Donations can be made in Frank’s memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
