WESTFIELD – Russell Duval, known as Russ, passed away on December 18th 2023 after his 10+ year battle with cancer. Russ was born in Springfield MA, son of the late Clarence and Phyllis (Liberty) Duval.
Russ is survived by his wife of 35 years, Iva (Schmidt) Duval, and brother Bruce. By daughter Bethany Whalley and grandchildren Marissa, Summer, and Tucker. By daughter Anna Johnson and granddaughters Aubreanna and Adalynn. By daughter Danean Duval and son Austin, and by son Jason Duval and granddaughters Joslyn, Allison, and Analeigh.
Russ spent 25 years working at Agway distribution before moving on to working for the Town of Agawam in the building maintenance department. His most recent placement in Agawam was at the Roberta Doering School, where he was loved by the staff, and especially by the students. Russ also spent 18 years working for Elm Electrical in Westfield.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 27th, from 10:00-12:00 at Firtion Adams Funeral Home at 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA, with funeral services to follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Westfield MA. Burial will be private.
