
RUSSELL – Theodore R. Frink, 94, (1931-2026) passed away at Hampden Post Acute Care in Wilbraham on Sunday, July 12th, 2026. He was born in Westfield to the late Emery and Esther (Karr) Frink.
Ted served as a member of the Air National Guard for several years and was proud of his service. He was a truck driver and dispatcher for Texon for over 23 years, when he retired from there, he went to work as a custodian for Gateway Regional High School and Chester Elementary School, which he loved very much. He was also a volunteer on the Russell Fire Department and retired from them as a Captain.
Throughout his life, Ted enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle, horseback riding, going fishing with family, doing carpentry work and playing various organs he owned over the years. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of organ music with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sadly, Ted was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Catherine O. (Langlois) Frink in 2020, his two brothers, his four sisters and two grandchildren, Justin Frink and Kelsey Frink. He is survived by his loving children, Samuel Frink and his wife Christine of Becket, Craig Frink and his wife Diana of Chelmsford, MA, Dr. Timothy Frink and his wife Stephanie of Coweta, OK and Theresa M. Frink of Russell, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Home Service will be held for Ted on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA followed by burial in Russell Cemetery, Russell, MA. Visiting Hours will precede the service from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
