WESTFIELD – Diane P. (Voteur) Disanto, 71, of Westfield, died at home on July 7th, 2026.
She cherished her independence and was very reluctant to ask for help, even when she obviously needed it.
Diane was born to the late Donald and Pauline Voteur in Old Town, Maine, on December 15th, 1954. She grew up in Bangor, Maine, the second eldest of six children and helped her parents by caring for her younger siblings while their parents worked. Diane graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. She married and moved to Westfield in the early 1980s. Although the marriage ended, it brought into her life her son, Anthony, who welcomed a daughter, Aubreana Disanto, Diane’s only grandchild.
Diane became employed at The Westfield Evening News where she worked for about 35 years. Diane worked her way up to manage the newspaper’s classified advertisements department. She was meticulous about the accuracy of the ads published in her section of the newspaper taking particular care to ensure that the legal notices published were absolutely correct, which endeared her to the attorneys who had placed the notices.
In addition to her son and granddaughter, Diane is survived by her five siblings and their families. Her older brother, Robert Voteur and his wife, Samantha, their sons Sean and Donald and their children live in Maine. Also living in Maine are her brother Michael Voteur, his wife Christine, and their daughters, Jenna and Lauren. Her brother David Voteur, his wife Carol, their daughter Ashlie and her daughter also live in Maine. Living in New Hampshire are Diane’s youngest brother, James Voteur, his wife Melissa, their son Christian and their daughter Hannah Edwards. Diane’s sister, Deborah Farley, lives in Connecticut with her husband, Shaun, and sons Cody, Ryan and Declan.
Internment of her remains will be private.
