WESTFIELD – Roger J. Convery, 68, of Dry Bridge Road, Westfield passed away July 22, 2012 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Butler, PA the son of the late Lawrence and Alberta (Schnur) Convery.
He was educated in St. Mary’s School in Butler, PA and was a graduate of the Butler High School. Roger was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He was employed at the former Advocate Services, Inc. in Westfield, later owning and operating Roger’s Truck Repair for 17 years. Roger, an avid pool player, was a long time member of the American Pool Association. He was a dedicated coach and volunteer for Westfield Little League during the 1980’s.
He leaves his beloved wife, Terry (Fedora) Davidson-Convery; his loving children, Joseph R. Convery, Barbara A. Convery both of Westfield, Harley Davidson and his wife Anne of West Springfield, Treasure Davidson-Fryer and her husband Matt of Feeding Hills, Christopher Jonker of Westfield, and Nicolas Perry of West Springfield, and his five cherished grandchildren. He was the caring brother of Charlotte Ruediger, Audrey Christie and Regis Convery all of Butler, PA. Roger’s much-loved son, Richard Convery passed away in 2011.
A military funeral service will be held Friday, August 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. The Cusack Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. There are no calling hours.
