It must have been Tigers’ Day because the Voc-Tech boys’ and girls’ soccer teams had a lot to celebrate after great performances yesterday.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Westfield Voc-Tech 5, Ware 0
Tyler Hall scored two goals, and Dominic Rosario and Adam Guilbert contributed two assists apiece to lead Voc-Tech in a shutout win.
Tigers’ Greg Kravitz (assist) and Alex Makarchuk also scored.
East Longmeadow 4, Westfield 1
Kyle Murphy scored on a pass from sophomore Joe Graydon for Westfield (1-3-4).
St. Mary 0, Pathfinder 0
Pathfinder goalie Tyler Moore (21 saves) thwarted St. Mary’s every shot. Bryce Kibbe (5 saves) earned a shutout in net for the Saints.
Justin Crosby played well in the midfield, winning a large portion of the 50-50 balls and aiding the attack.

Westfield 283, Belchertown 285
Ian Wolski shot a 43, John Kiefer recorded a 45, and Chris Paradis (46) eagled the last hole, a par-4, to lead Westfield to victory.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Southwick 1, Agawam 1
Izzy Burns scored on a pass from Ali Sheehan for Southwick’s only goal. Riley Hellstein netted a goal for the Rams. Taylor Lunden assisted on the play.
Megan Zabik collected eight saves in Southwick.
Northampton 1, Westfield 0
Molly King scored the game’s only goal in the second half to lift Northampton.
Amelia Tooker (1 save) and Celina Nunez (3 saves) split time in goal for Westfield.
Westfield Voc-Tech 3, Commerce 0
Voc-Tech’s Katie Nesmelova scored unassisted 18 minutes into the game, Bria Curran laid out a beautiful ball for Elena Levkha who drove it home, and Brandi VanGelder set up Nesmelova for another goal.
Megan Ilnicky (1 save) earned the shutout in net for the Tigers.
Siena Sorel and Aedan Orr played well in the midfield.
FIELD HOCKEY
Pioneer 5, Southwick 0
Shea Healy scored four of Pioneer’s five goals, and Emily Walker made three saves to shut out Southwick.

Ashley Shea scored the lone goal for Southwick, with Amber Nobbs and Lexi Glynn credited for the assist. Rams’ Ariel Bryant finished with 12 saves.
