11:09 a.m.: found property, Franklin Street, a person came to the station to surrender a wallet made of duct tape which was found to belong to a person in custody, the officer reports the wallet was returned to its owner;
12:01 p.m.: breaking and entering, Summit Lock Road, a security officer from a Summit Lock Road business reports an employee’s vehicle was broken into, the responding officer reports the victim said that he believes his vehicle had been locked in the employee parking lot when an unknown person used a specialized tool to open it between 7-10 a.m., the victim said that about $45 in cash and personal documents were stolen from the vehicle;
12:16 p.m.: identity fraud, Pochassic Road, a resident came to the station to report he is being dunned by a collection agency in reference to merchandise he did not order which was delivered to his address, the responding officer reports the man said that he had returned the merchandise at the request of the vendor but is still being dunned by the agency, the man said that the agency requires a police report, services rendered;
1:07 p.m.: fire, Hunters Slope, a caller reports nearby residents appear to be burning construction materials, the responding firefighters report the residents were advised of the pertinent regulations and extinguished their fire.

10:08 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a person came to the shelter to surrender a female Rottweiler mix dog;
11:08 a.m.: vandalism, East Mountain Road, a caller reports her resident was struck for a third time by BBs, the responding officer reports the resident said she does not know of anybody who harbors animosity toward her family;
5:30 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed;
7:28 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle swerve across the center line and he stopped the vehicle, the officer reports he observed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication about the operator who failed a field sobriety test, Steven D. Conrad, 44, of 8 Highland Ave., South Hadley, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and a marked lanes violation;
9:12 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Meadow Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle speeding and when he stopped it he observed beer can under a seat which was found to partially full of cold beer, the operator said that he had told a passenger who recently exited his vehicle to put the can there instead of throwing it from the car, city ordinance violation citations for speeding, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and for failure to wear a seat belt were issued.
