Sarah O’Neil and Jillian Conroy are daughters of members of the Westfield Sons of Erin. They have been working over the course of the year on the float “Thomas’s Field of Dreams.” The float depicts a giant leprechaun who has found his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in a beautiful garden. The garden consists of 92 flowers, four that move, and an animated butterfly, as well as a few dragonflies and a bumblebee. The float is sponsored and built entirely by volunteers of the Sons of Erin. The float will also be carrying the Sons of Erin Colleen and her court in the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Sunday. (Photos submitted by Jayne Mulligan)
